This is an important project that will safeguard our runway and ensure the safety and reliability of our airport for the community.
What the Project Will Accomplish:
- Remove old sealant from runway joints and prepare them for new seals
- Install new, durable compression seals in the runway joints
- Remove and replace concrete panels that exhibit significant or failing repairs
- Re-cut and re-seal pavement cracks to stop them from getting worse
- Re-grade and re-seed the shoulders of the runway
- Improve drainage by reshaping the shoulders to comply with current FAA standards
This work will extend the lifespan of the runway, reduce future repair costs, and ensure that aircraft operations remain efficient and secure.
