Greetings Airport Users,
Northeast Wyoming Regional Airport utilizes a software-based control system to manage gate and door access to controlled areas of the airport. TSA security protocols heavily regulate the utilization of this system. As NEWRA grows, our expectations for security also increase. There is a possibility that NEWRA will transition to a Category 3 airport soon. This will require the airport to meet higher security standards. One significant component of this requirement is individual badging for all airport users. Due to a major software migration scheduled for the second week of August, all gate PIN codes will be purged.
It is the decision of the Airport Board and airport administration to move to badge-based access only. 
No new PINS will be issued. This will be a significant step towards TSA compliance when the airport upgrades. This will require anyone who wants unescorted access to the Airport Operations Area to have a badge. These badges are issued to individuals only. No group badges will be authorized.
We understand that this is a significant change and want to ensure that this process goes smoothly with as little disruption as possible. NEWRA has created an online badge application that will be accessible through the airport website (www.lflygillette.com). We encourage all airport users to complete the application process as soon as possible before your PIN codes are no longer usable. Airport operations staff will be available to answer any questions about the application process if needed. Upon completion, all new badges will be issued in person at 2440 Airport Road, between 5:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. You will be notified when your badges are ready.
